SLAMDUNK, my submission to the GMTK 2023 Game Jam, is a basketball hoop game developed using Unity as the game engine. The game jam has ended, but my work on SLAMDUNK continues as I refine and expand the game into a complete product.

During the game jam, I primarily focused on delivering a fun and addictive gameplay experience. The game's objective is for players to catch as many balls as possible within a time limit while controlling the hoop's movements using their mouse. The goal is to achieve the highest possible score and showcase their skills and strategies. 

One of the notable features of SLAMDUNK is the inclusion of unique balls that add various challenges to the gameplay. These balls, such as slow motion, spare time, 3 points, magnets, and more, add complexity to the game and require players to adapt their strategies to maximize their scores.

Despite the progress made during the game jam, several significant changes will enhance the overall experience of SLAMDUNK. These changes include introducing a level system that progressively increases the game's difficulty and introduces new mechanics as players advance. This will provide a sense of progression and keep players engaged over extended play sessions. Second, refining the user interface to make it more intuitive and user-friendly for a seamless experience from launching the game until achieving the first slam dunk. Third, enhancing the visual and audio effects to make the game more immersive and exciting. I aim to create an atmosphere that truly captures the exhilaration of slam dunking. Finally, designing original sound effects and composing captivating music complementing the gameplay. Audio plays a crucial role in immersing players in the game world. I am committed to creating a memorable auditory experience.
